The challenge

Madison identified more and more of their trade customers were carrying iPhones and there was a great opportunity to gain a valuable presence in pockets of these customers if an App could be created which encompassed similar core functionality to that supported in its sector leading web based ordering environment.

The company chose its ecommerce platform partner Netalogue to commission the App which needed to present customers with a compelling experience which was both fast to use and intuitive. It was further a requirement that ongoing administration of the App should be minimised by ensuring all data utilised by the App including products, stock levels, customer information and prices should be automatically derived from the same data sources driving the web based ecommerce facility.

Customers are not only able to check their account details and view previous orders from their iPhone devide while they are on the go, they can also scan the barcodes of items using their devices camera feature while on the shop floor thereby automatically adding them to their order.
The Madison B2B App brings full product specifications and images to the customer at the touch of a button, or the swipe of a finger with the full Madison product catalogue now searchable by product category, product code or barcode.
